About Me
My interest in Indian public health began long before my formal training. While researching the health realities of tribal communities, rural populations, and other underserved groups, I became increasingly aware of how access to care is shaped not only by infrastructure, but by social, economic, and structural determinants. That curiosity evolved into a commitment to understanding how health systems function and where they fail.
My professional experience has since mirrored those early questions. Working in integrated care systems in the UK exposed me directly to the lived realities of social determinants of health like isolation, housing instability, chronic illness, and fragmented service delivery. Through social prescribing and multidisciplinary coordination, I saw how bridging medical care with social support can transform outcomes when systems are designed thoughtfully.
Relocating to London required cultural adaptation, and resilience. Alongside my work, I stepped into voluntary leadership as Vice President – Membership at Toastmasters International, consciously taking on public speaking and team leadership roles to overcome personal limitations and build confidence in engaging diverse audiences. These experiences strengthened not only my communication skills, but my ability to operate across cultures and systems.
I have recently returned to India with the intention of deepening my engagement with public health systems here. My core strength lies in integrated care models, social determinants of health, and designing community-linked service pathways that are both data-informed and scalable. I am particularly interested in roles that challenge me intellectually within NGOs, CSR initiatives, or policy and research institutions, where I can contribute to strengthening health systems, and sustainable models of care.
I am currently expanding my technical skills in R programming and Geographic Information Systems (GIS). Building new competencies and applying them to real-world public health challenges remains one of my greatest motivations.
Alongside my professional work, I am exploring community-based concepts that integrate social support and companionship models for vulnerable populations.I genuinely enjoy doing independent research in my own time, exploring publicly available datasets, studying health indicators and policies, and trying to understand the patterns. There’s something deeply satisfying about digging into data, asking better questions, and discovering how systems behave beneath the surface.Outside of public health, I’m drawn to philosophy and reflective writing. I regularly share short-form thoughts and long reflections on themes like human behavior, responsibility, ethics, and growth. Writing helps me think clearly and challenge my own assumptions.
I also enjoy gardening. It’s grounding, and a patient work which keeps me balanced.
I welcome conversations and collaborations with individuals interested in strengthening community health ecosystems in innovative ways.
